The County of Dufferin is undertaking a Transit Feasibility Study to examine possible transit solutions for County residents, workers, students, and visitors.

County Council directed staff to study all reasonable options, preferred routes and costs associated to provide transit service for Dufferin County on October 8, 2020. IBI Group was awarded the Transit Feasibility Contract in late April and started the project in June 2021. Study completion is scheduled for December 2021 with a presentation to County Council.

The objective of the study is to determine whether a new transit service in Dufferin County (in addition to Grey County’s rural transportation pilot and outside of the Town of Orangeville) is a feasible idea, and to figure out how it might be done.

We need your help to inform the future of transit in Dufferin County! By completing this survey, you will provide the project team with important information that will help shape the vision, goals and design of a future transit service.

This survey is completely voluntary and information will only be used for the purposes of this Transit Feasibility Study.

I live in Alton, Caledon and recently my car has broken and I had to scrap. Would it be possible for a transit system to come as far from Orangeville to Alton?

Hi Kenz, Thank you for your interest and questions. If you haven't yet already, please consider completing the survey with your thoughts so your feedback can be considered by the Transit Project Team. Thanks again!
