Consultation for this project has concluded. In January 2021 the Dufferin County Tourism Strategy and Action Plan was completed.

In June 2020, Dufferin County in partnership with consultancy Bannikin Travel & Tourism, began developing a five-year Tourism Strategy and Action Plan. This is a major initiative led by the County's Economic Development Team and is being created in complimentary efforts with the Town of Orangeville. This strategy is being created with the interest of stimulating visitation to the region with a defined vision, and in support of its economic development.
