Public Open House #1 Survey

Dufferin County is updating its Official Plan through Official Plan Amendment Five (OPA Five).

The Official Plan guides how the County grows and develops, including where housing and employment can be located, how farmland and natural areas are protected, and how communities evolve over time.

This update will help ensure the County’s planning policies align with the Provincial Planning Statement, 2024 and respond to local priorities related to housing, agriculture, economic development, and environmental protection.

As part of this process, the County is undertaking several key studies, including a Land Needs Assessment, which will determine how much land is required to accommodate future population and employment growth, and a Natural Heritage System Strategy, which will identify and protect important environmental features and ecological connections. Your feedback will help inform these studies and guide updates to the Official Plan.

All responses will remain confidential, with the survey likely taking between 10-15 minutes to complete.
