Hi Pat, Our site is project focused. I would suggest you may want to search online for your community on Facebook as there might be many community Facebook pages or websites that offer this type of open exchange with others in the community.

Unfortunately, this venue is just a back and forth between myself and you, not a forum format in which people in our community can talk back and forth with each other, as in "forum". I am looking for an open exchange, back and forth, with people in our community, not just one person. Can you tell me where to find that kind of forum?

Hi Pat, our online engagement platform is project based and depending on the project there are forums, ideas, comments you can participate and share your thoughts on the different projects the County is working on. For example, the project " Dufferin County Official Plan Review" is one of the current project we have and you can participate in the forum by clicking on the tab Tell Us What you Think. Depending on your interest on the various topics/projects there are different ways you can be involved.

Is there a public forum where people can discuss things happening in our community? I have signed up here, but I don't see any way to access the kind of group participation forum I had hoped to find here. If it isn't here, then where do I find it? Thanks.

Hi DrawdownHeadwaters, We currently have three projects up on our homepage: destination signage, Spanish influenza and choose your future, which were created by County staffs who are responsible for the specific project. You can sign up by clicking on "sign up and speak up" and choose to participate on one or all of the projects by responding to the story, survey or comments on each project page. The content on the homepage is all we have at the moment, however, we will likely update new project(s) every month.
