Welcome!

If you’ve landed here, it’s likely because you’re interested in Dufferin’s commitment to local tourism development. I’m Terrilyn, the County’s first-ever tourism manager.

With a recently approved 5-year Tourism Strategy & Action Plan and this new role, we’re working towards building this sector upon equitable, collaborative, and sustainable practices (just a few of our key tenets).

We know the benefits tourism can bring to communities. From economic stimulation & new employment opportunities, to enhanced natural & cultural assets, to a heightened pride of place & entrepreneurial spirit, there is a lot to gain by taking a strategic, measured approach to its development.

Ultimately, tourism is about strengthening communities and I am looking forward to you being a part of this journey.

Current ways you can get involved include:

  • Apply to be a part of our Tourism Advisory Group. (See below for Objectives, Role & Responsibilities, and Application Form)
  • Join our Public Information Session on April 20 from 7-8 p.m.
  • Pop-in for a virtual meet & greet, April 27 from 2-3 p.m., or 7-8 p.m.

Thank you for your support thus far, and I’ll look forward to meeting you soon!

Sincerely,
