Climate Action in Dufferin, Sustainable Orangeville, and Cycling Elements are challenging you to get on your bike this June to celebrate Bike Month! Get active, enjoy the outdoors, and help reduce greenhouse gas emissions while exploring the bicycle-friendly spaces and features in your neighbourhood.
How to Play
1) Be sure to review the Cycling Safety Sheet before you hit the road or trail.
2) At your own pace, throughout the month of June, explore Dufferin by bike and try to locate as many of the 10 Scavenger Hunt items as you can.
Piece of public art or history
Bike rack or lock
Bicycle trail or bike sharrow
Local bike shop or repair stand
Tree/flower/plant discovered while biking
Wildlife I saw while biking
A trip I took by by bike instead of by vehicle
Public bench or picnic table
My favourite place to bike
Entrance sign to a public trail
3) Once located, take a photo of yourself and/or your bike with the item and submit it here on Join in Dufferin. No camera? No problem! Submit a short description of where you found the scavenger hunt item instead. Entries will be accepted on a rolling basis from June 1 - 30th. For each submission you earn 1 entry in the prize draw. Find all 10 Scavenger Hunt items to earn 10 draw entries. Note that duplicate submissions of the same item will be counted as one entry.
Prize
At the end of the month 1 winner will be selected by draw to receive a Bike Prize Pack that includes a bike bell, lights, and lock courtesy of Cycling Elements and a $50 gift card to the shop. The more scavenger hunt items you submit, the greater your chance to win!
